OK raise your hand if you’re addicted to Amazon? Now raise your hand if you love to travel? Ya, same! Well, I’ve got great news for you. Our favorite travel products that we use for both infants and toddlers have mostly come from Amazon!
I actually had a friend reach out to me today asking about what products I recommend for traveling with kids. I had to stop and think about all the items that are lifesavers. Figured it was best to put them all in a list for everyone to enjoy, before I forget an important item 😊 (Each item is hyperlinked)
For Infants:

Formula Container – We actually use this anytime we leave the house, but I bought a second one for when we travel! Jameson drinks 6oz of formula now, so each section has 6oz worth of powder. It makes it super easy to pour into his bottle of water to mix up. Travel tip: You are allowed to bring a sealed bottle of water through TSA for your infant or toddler. Just let them know ahead of time and they’ll wipe it down! No more paying $5 for a water bottle at the airport gift shop. You don’t have to worry about spilling, or bringing the big container of formula on the plane! Best part is that these are DIRT CHEAP!

Squeeze Pouch Spoon Attachments – Yep that’s the official name 😉 When Jameson just started eating solid foods, we started him with purees. The easiest items to bring were those squeeze pouches, however he definitely does not understand how to suck the food down from the nozzle. Enter the spoon attachment! This goes on the top of the squeeze pouch and slowly dispenses food for your baby.

Disposable Bibs – Along with the spoons above, have you ever tried to feed a 5 month old?! They are a huge mess! We weren’t sure if we’d be able to reasonably wash bibs everyday after Jameson ate, so we found these incredible disposable bibs. They come in a pack of 20 and fold down so small that I even have some in my purse. They also have stickers to attach to the infant’s shirt, so no worrying about the bib rolling up!

Travel Foldable High Chair – Jameson isn’t quite sitting on his own yet, so we haven’t use this for him at this point. But when we went to Hawaii and Kent was 11 months old, we used this daily! It attaches to pretty much any chair and holds the kid in place and upright. It’s adjustable, has no weight limit, and folds up incredibly small! This was one of the best things we brought on our first trip to Hawaii for Kent!

Car seat bag - Many airlines don’t provide bags for your car seat, which means that your car seat is getting banged up against everything, scuffed, dinged, etc. Some airlines do provide car seats bags, but they are just a plastic bag, so not much protection. This bag is heavy duty and makes carrying your car seat into the airport much easier!
For Toddlers:

Backpack – Now that Kent is older, we pack his toys and snacks into his own backpack carry on! This is so convenient because now I have less stuff in my purse, and can actually just focus on all the things that Jameson needs. This backpack is super adorable, is lightweight, has a nice front pocket for any smaller things, and a bottle holder on the side. This bag was what we used to announce our pregnancy and has been used on every trip!

Amazon Kid’s Fire Tablet – Any parent that has traveled knows that there are no rules when it comes to traveling! Want to watch 4 movies in one sitting? Great! Want to live off pretzels, water, and skittles? As long as it keeps you quiet! (Ok we feed Kent more than skittles on the plane 😉) For the longest time, we had been using my iPad for traveling and loaded up a few movies and handful of toddler games on it. When we were driving back from Coeur D’Alene, we watched Kent figure out how the iPad worked and decided he was old enough to get his own travel only Amazon Fire Tablet. He loved it on our last flight. He was able to watch several movies and play all sorts of games, and I got my iPad back! There was a learning curve to get it setup and working well, but so far so good!

Toddler Headphones – These headphones are designed specifically for toddlers. There is a volume control on the side, and it only allows to go up to a certain volume so they don’t hurt their eardrums. Kent’s not a huge fan of wearing them while watching his movie, but he will occasionally put them on. They’re also so adorable!

Travel Car Seat – This is a recent purchase for us. Before Jameson, taking Kent’s car seat wasn’t too big of a deal. Honestly, he was in his infant carrier for every vacation until Jameson arrived, which is much easier to carry than his new convertible car seat. However, when Jameson came along, we realized our baggage in the airport to the ticketing counter would include: 1 large suitcase, 2 big car seats, 3 carry on backpacks, a toddler, and an infant. That is a LOT to juggle, even the few steps to the ticketing counter. Thus began my research on travel car seats for toddlers. Hours and hours of research! This was the car seat that kept being recommended. It looked amazing! However, it was like $400!! Hard. Pass. So, more hours of research. Until I found RideSafer. This was created by a firefighter, is FMVSS certified (make sure any travel car seat you find is!), and is a legal child restraint in all states when used to the manufacturer’s instructions. While we don’t use this for everyday driving, after looking at all the reviews we opted to purchase it for the very minimal driving and taxi/limo ride we would be doing in Hawaii. While I am not advocating for this car seat or giving any parental advice, I am just listing what we used and what worked for us on the minimal driving that we did. It folds up incredibly small and we threw it in the car seat bag with Jameson’s infant carrier.

Car Seat Bag – listed above as well, we swear by this! Best baby shower gift we got! Many airlines don’t provide bags for your car seat, which means that your car seat is getting banged up against everything, scuffed, dinged, etc. Some airlines do provide car seats bags, but they are just a plastic bag, so not much protection. This bag is heavy duty and makes carrying your car seat into the airport much easier! Travel hack: if you’re overweight on your checked bag, throw a few items into the car seat bag with your car seat as this checks FOR FREE!

Coloring Pad – Ok saving the best item for last!! Kent is obsessed with this coloring pad thing. And to be honest, once you’ve tried it as an adult you understand why. It’s so easy to draw on, takes up minimal space, and is simple to erase. I have recommended this product to pretty much every mom I know. I’ve even watched Kent pick the coloring pad over the tablet!! They’re usually about $9, but typically on sale for $7-8!

o Additional Pens and Cord – we made do with the original pen for about 6 months before we were on a flight and Kent got cranky and threw the pen into never neverland. While we were still on vacation, I purchased additional pens and cords to attach it to the board so we wouldn’t have that situation happen again!
I believe those are all the big items we use while traveling. Each one of these has made traveling a little bit easier with kids, which is the biggest priority when traveling. As always, any questions or needing advice, feel free to reach out!
